Dan Gilbert's entrepreneurship accelerator, Bizdom Cleveland, has announced its first class of six startups it will help jumpstart.

Mr. Gilbert, majority owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers and founder of Quicken Loans, created the program in his hometown of Detroit in 2007 to provide entrepreneurs with real-world experience from top executives associated with Mr. Gilbert's family of companies.

“Our goal is to invest in promising technology-oriented startups and continue to support new businesses each quarter,” said Paul Allen, team leader of Bizdom Cleveland. “By harnessing the spirit of entrepreneurship and fostering relationships between the startups and potential clients, we can cultivate the brain gain and create a technology hub in Cleveland.”
